dux is free and complete. Pro adds time savers such as bulk duplicate cleanup, scheduled scans and automation. See Pricing for what each plan includes.
Two ways to get Pro
- Inside the Mac App Store version. Pro is an in-app purchase, handled by Apple. See Restore Pro. It also unlocks the direct download on the same Mac: dux sets up a license key for you, with nothing to type. See App Store or direct download.
- Direct download. You buy through Stripe, which acts as the seller (merchant of record) and sends a receipt and invoice. You then receive a license key by email and on the page after checkout. A key works only in the direct download; Apple does not allow App Store apps to accept keys sold elsewhere.
Use your key
Use the activation link in the email, or paste the key into dux. The app checks the key on your Mac and does not need the internet to open. A yearly license refreshes itself near its end date.
A Pro license covers up to 5 Macs. Replacing a Mac never locks you out.
Business keys
Organizations deploy the key to every Mac with the LicenseKey managed setting. See the Business page.
The key did not arrive
Check your spam folder, then write to us with the email address you used to buy. Questions about the payment itself, such as receipts and refunds, can also go to Stripe.
